On 15 May 2014, I started a new diet and have been seeing results. Motivated, I want to change it up even more to focus on health. Back when I was a vegan, I tried doing a raw diet and that didn't work very well, it was a lot of work and having to go to the store all the damn time. I did like that it was inexpensive, and I also liked that it was fun to try new things, but maintenance was pretty shit.
With that in mind, I have decided to try going raw on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Please note -No, it's not to "rid myself of toxins". This is not a "flush" or a "detox". -It is not a vegan raw diet. Raw eggs and meats are allowed (if you're worried about salmonella, avoid the eggs). -This is not a "diet tip" or "trick" or anything like that. -Yes, I am aware that cooking meat makes it more available for digestion, but the purpose is to restrict meats on these days in favor of more vegetables, so allowing cooked meats defeats the purpose (raw meats being more expensive and therefore won't be consumed as much). -No, I do not think vegetables and fruits are magical in their raw state.
The purpose of this change -increase my intake of vegetables and also fruits (I rarely eat fruits) -be more creative in the kitchen by coming up with new recipes...especially for the spring and summer when cold dishes are welcome -reduce prep time (which is why these aren't "vegan days")
Everyone is welcome to join in, share recipes, and so forth.

Thats a really detailed explanation Lee! I'm only doing this because I am now too lazy to even cook my food before a cram it down my gaping maw... Who knows, someday I may even become so lazy I have someone else eat it and then baby bird it to me.

Or you can just jerk off and eat your own protein, then you don't even have to get out of bed.
